# How do I change the email address on my account?

## Short answer

The login email cannot be changed in the app. Send an email to hello@mindstamp.com from your current account email, and give the new address you want to use. Support makes the change and confirms it.

## Steps

1. Open the mailbox of the email address you use to log in to Mindstamp.
2. Send a message to hello@mindstamp.com.
3. Give the new email address and the name of your organization.
4. Wait for support to confirm the change.
5. Log in with the new email address. Your password does not change.

## Why the request must come from the current email

The login email controls access to your videos, viewer data, and billing. Sending the request from that address shows that the account owner asked for the change. A request from another address can need more checks.

## What changes and what stays

- Your videos, reports, groups, and settings stay the same.
- Share links and embeds keep working.
- Billing receipts use the email on your billing profile. Ask support to update it too if it should change.

## If you no longer have the old mailbox

Contact support and explain the situation. Support can ask for more information to confirm that you own the account before any change.

## Change your name instead

To change your first or last name, open the account menu, select **Settings**, and edit **Profile**. The page saves as you type.
