# How do I delete my Mindstamp account?

## Short answer

Send an email to hello@mindstamp.com from the email of the account you want to delete. If you have a paid plan, cancel it in **Billing** first. Trial accounts that never subscribe are deleted automatically some time after the trial ends.

## Steps

1. If you have a paid plan, open the account menu, select **Billing**, and cancel the subscription.
2. Open **Exports** in the side menu and download any reports you want to keep.
3. From your account email, send a message to hello@mindstamp.com and ask for the account to be deleted.
4. Wait for support to confirm the deletion.

## What deletion removes

Deletion removes the organization's videos, interactions, viewer data, and reports. Share links and embeds stop working. You cannot undo it, so export what you need first.

## Trial accounts

A trial needs no card, so you are never charged if you do not choose a plan. When a trial ends without a subscription, your videos stop playing for viewers. Mindstamp keeps the data for about 90 days after the trial ends, sends a warning email before it deletes the data, and then deletes it.

## After a paid plan ends

When you cancel, the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. The Billing page then says your videos and data are saved for 60 days, with a date, in case you reactivate. After that, the data is deleted.

## Remove one person, not the whole account

To remove a team member, deactivate them on the Members page. Their videos stay in the organization. To remove one video, delete it from the video library.
