How do I make HeyGen videos interactive?
In Mindstamp, select New video, then HeyGen, and select Connect HeyGen. After you sign in, pick a completed video. Mindstamp copies it and opens the editor, where you add questions, buttons, and branching. HeyGen also has its own interactivity on Business and Enterprise plans, with branching, action buttons, and quizzes.
Which HeyGen plan do I need?
HeyGen’s own interactive video, quizzes, and branching are on its Business and Enterprise plans. Mindstamp has no plan gate on the HeyGen source, and the import uses your HeyGen sign-in. If HeyGen denies access to a workspace, Mindstamp asks you to reconnect with a Space Admin account that has API access. HeyGen removes its watermark from Creator up, and the Mindstamp Basic plan allows videos up to 30 minutes.
Does each teammate need to connect HeyGen?
Likely yes. Mindstamp stores the HeyGen connection for each user, not for the whole organization. A teammate who has not connected sees Connect next to HeyGen on the New video page, and selects Connect HeyGen to sign in with their own HeyGen account.
What stays in HeyGen after the import?
HeyGen keeps the original video, its subtitles, and the project. Mindstamp streams the copy it made at import and sends nothing back to HeyGen, so views, answers, and branch choices on the interactive version are in Mindstamp reports.
HeyGen has interactive video. Why use Mindstamp?
HeyGen’s interactivity suits a team on Business or Enterprise that builds the whole lesson in HeyGen, and its SCORM package includes quizzes and branching. Mindstamp adds hotspots and lead capture, keeps a report of each learner’s answers, and can send those answers to HubSpot, Zapier, or a webhook. Mindstamp exports SCORM on Core and higher.
Does HeyGen list Mindstamp?
Yes. HeyGen has an integrations page for Mindstamp. It describes Mindstamp as an interactive video platform that adds questions, buttons, and personalized content to video, and links to Mindstamp for HeyGen users.
