How can I embed a Mindstamp video on my website?
Short answer
Publish the video, open Share, choose an embed type under Embed, and select Copy embed code. Paste the code into an HTML, code or embed block on your page, not into a normal text paragraph. The embedded video keeps all its interactions and sends views to your Mindstamp reports.
How to do it
Copy link to How to do it- Open the video, select Share, and publish the video if needed.
- Under Embed, choose Responsive for most pages. Choose Popout for a thumbnail that opens the player in an overlay, or Basic iframe for a page that does not allow scripts.
- Optional: turn on Include SEO metadata to add structured video data and a transcript to the code.
- Select Copy embed code.
- In your site builder, add an HTML, custom code or embed block and paste the code.
- Publish the page. Open it in a private window and on a phone, then play the video and use each interaction.

The three embed types
Copy link to The three embed types- Responsive: scales to the width of its container and keeps a 16:9 shape. It loads lazily, so it does not load until the viewer scrolls near it. It includes a short script that lets a click action open a link in your page.
- Popout: shows a clickable thumbnail. The player loads only when the viewer selects it, then opens in an overlay that closes with the close button or the Escape key. This is the lightest option for page speed.
- Basic iframe: a plain iframe with no script, for platforms that remove scripts. Set its width and height in your builder.
Settings that change the embed
Copy link to Settings that change the embed- The Playback options on the Share page (autoplay, loop and Start at) are written into the code when you copy it. If you change them, copy the code again and replace the old code.
- Embed only in the video’s Settings blocks the share link so the video plays only when embedded.
- An account list of Allowed embed domains blocks the video on sites that are not on the list. See restrict embed domains.
- On Pro and above with a custom domain, the embed code uses your domain.
Troubleshooting
Copy link to Troubleshooting- The code shows as text on the page: you pasted it into a text block. Use an HTML or embed block.
- The player is blank or very small: some builders give iframes no height. Use the Responsive code, or set a height on the block.
- “Video not available: Code 617”: your site is not on the allowed embed domains list.
- “Video not available: Not published”: publish the video.
- Slow page: see reduce embed load time.
Pass page data into the video
