How do I make Wistia videos interactive?
Copy the media page address or share link of the video in Wistia, select Wistia on the Mindstamp New video page, and paste it. When Mindstamp shows Link works, create the video and add questions, buttons, or branching in the editor. Mindstamp streams the Wistia video in its own player and keeps each viewer’s answers in its reports.
Which Wistia links does Mindstamp accept?
Links on wistia.com, a wistia.com subdomain, or fast.wistia.net that point to one media: a /medias/ page, a /s/ share link, or an /embed/ address. A wi.st short link, a custom video domain, or HTML embed code is likely refused.
Which Wistia and Mindstamp plans work?
Every Mindstamp plan accepts Wistia links. Basic limits each video to 30 minutes, and SCORM export needs Core or higher. Mindstamp does not ask for a Wistia API token. Each Mindstamp view still uses Wistia bandwidth, and the Wistia pricing page lists 200 GB on Free and 1 TB on Business.
Does Wistia still record the plays?
No. Mindstamp does not load the Wistia player, and Wistia says requests that do not come through its player produce no plays, no engagement graphs, and no viewer data. They still count toward your account bandwidth. Read views, answers, and clicks for the interactive video in Mindstamp.
Wistia has CTAs and forms. Why use Mindstamp?
Wistia interactivity covers Calls to Action, Wistia Forms, annotation links, and chapters. Its interactivity page lists no quizzes, polls, or branching on answers, and its Embed Links feature swaps videos only from links on your own page. Mindstamp adds questions with a score, branching on each answer, and a report by viewer. See Mindstamp vs Wistia.
Do my Wistia CTAs and forms show in Mindstamp?
No. Mindstamp streams the video without the Wistia player, so Wistia CTAs, forms, and chapters do not show. Rebuild a call to action as a Mindstamp button, and use lead capture in place of a Wistia Form. Your Wistia embeds on other pages do not change.
