How do I add a Mindstamp video to Docebo?

Updated · 2 min read

Short answer

Upload a Mindstamp SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 (3rd edition) package as training material, and Docebo records completion and a score. To show the player in an HTML page instead, a Superadmin must first add https://embed.mindstamp.com to the Iframe Allow List.

  1. In Mindstamp, publish the video from its Share page if it is not published yet.
  2. Under Export, select Download SCORM package. This needs a Core plan or higher.
  3. Choose SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 (3rd edition) and a Completion Checkpoint of 10, 25, 50, 75, 90, 95 or 100 percent, then download the ZIP file.
  4. In the Docebo course, add SCORM training material and upload the ZIP file.
  5. Run the course as a test learner. If the video does not play inline, set the view mode to New window.

Embed in an HTML page after the allow list

  • A Superadmin opens Advanced settings, E-Learning, Iframe Allow List, and adds https://embed.mindstamp.com. Docebo does not accept wildcards. Add your custom domain too if your videos use one.
  • In Mindstamp, copy the Basic iframe code. Docebo removes script event handlers.
  • In the course, select Training material, Add, then HTML Page. Open the source code view, paste the code, and save.
  • Docebo marks an HTML page complete when the learner opens it, with no score.

Nested iframes and view modes

Docebo says SCORM packages that contain iframes can fail in inline or theater view. The Mindstamp package loads the player in an iframe, so use New window if inline view does not play.

Docebo’s Go.Learn app does not support SCORM content that needs the iOS Prevent Cross-Site Tracking setting turned off. Learners must also exit with the player close button for tracking. Run the course in the app before launch.

If you set Allowed embed domains in Mindstamp, add your Docebo platform domain to the list. Otherwise learners see “Video not available: Code 617”. See restrict embed domains.
